If the engine is original it would be a 313 V8 and the engine number prefix should be "SV-".  The optional 361 V8 was "SV-HP-" and the slant six was "S-".  The alternator was optional on all Canadian-built 1960-62 Chryco products and became standard in 1963.

That style of body tag was used on Canadian-built Chryco cars from sometime in 1935 through to the end of the 1965 model year.

The three to a side taillights were adopted on the Fury around February, 1962, after the Sport Fury was introduced in the U.S.  Not sure if they are correct on this car, though, as the body tag shows the car to be the 21st 1962 Plymouth Fury V8 4dr Hardtop built.

The model number -
S - 1962
P - Plymouth
2 - V8
H - Fury
4 - 4-door
3 - Hardtop

Being the 21st SP2-H43 built would make it a very early production model.  When I first saw the photos and the rear taillights I thought the "V" on the front fender was missing.  But, seeing the body tag the lack of a "V" is possible.  A "V" was added to the front fender just ahead of the wheel opening on all Canadian-built 1962 Plymouth V8 models starting at S/N 3x29109140.  A "V" was added on Canadian-built V8 Dodge Darts at S/N 5x29109142 just by the "Dodge" nameplate on the rear of the car. That would be in early November, 1961.

The Paint Code, XX, is for Polar White, the same colour as in the U.S. - Polar White (Dodge), Ermine White Plymouth), and Oyster White (Chrysler & Imperial).

The trim code -
S - 1962
W - Red
M - vinyl

The Dodge Fratzog on the instrument panel was used on all Canadian-built Dodges and Plymouths, as was the Dart emblem on the steering wheel hub and the front door interior trim on the Fury and Dart 440..  Nice to see hub caps on the car.  Most people toss them and put on the optional wheel covers.

And thank your friend Bob for letting us enjoy his Canadian Fury.  If he has more photos to share I don't think anyone here will complain!  It most definitely is a beautiful car.

Following up on one of your posts from Oct. At our areas last car show of the year my friend Bob brought his Canadian Fury and has allowed my to post a few photos. As you can see there are fender mounted mirrors, driver's side is remote, Dodge interior, 3 tail lights...some photos show 62' Furys with only 2, and a fender tag that I've not seen before. I did take note of the Poly with the 3 bolt valve covers, a different style alternator bracket and carburetor return spring bracket. He could not confirm if it was the original engine, none the less a beautiful 62' 4-dr. that was a trophy winner at the end.
