Re: ignition switc

Folks,

I put a valiant switch in my 62 Phoenix. Simple change-over if you have small hands. Purchased it from a valiant parts dealer on the Gold Coast, Queensland. It turns clockwise to start.

What 2 brands? I doubt there is much difference. They are probably made in China anyway. The Australian built Valiant ignition would be what I'd look at first to see if it is the same design. I don't know for sure but it makes sense all Chrysler products used the same switch regardless of geography.
Unless the Australian version turns to the left to start. :)

Thanks,
Gary H.

hi, need to replace the ignition switch in my 63 dodge. rockauto has 2
diffent brands, are they both the same or is one better than the other?
will go to our local auto leccy store after work tomorrow & just see if on
the off chance they have any. also does anyone know if all chrysler
products sold world wide at that time shared the same switch. australian
built valiant ignition switchs are still readily availible down here, aus. is there a better product available through a different supplier? any info
 greatly appreciated, thanks.
