Gary - the following are the maximum shipment sizes for FedEx Ground. It looks like a bumper will work.
Size guidelines: Maximum size is 108 inches in length and 165 inches in length and girth.
Weight guidelines: Individual packages can weigh up to 150 lbs.
Packing: Use your own packaging for ground shipments. FedEx Express packaging should not be used to ship FedEx Ground shipments.

Hi all,
Any advice as to getting a couple bumpers shipped? The bumpers are too big for UPS or USPO or bus, so that leaves ship by truck or piggybacking a ride with a car hauler or a truck headed in the same direction. The guy who needs them is in college and cash-shorter than many others so he would appreciate any tips.
