The painter's daughter has had a brain tumor removed and it is malignant. Several weeks of chemo and therapy. His wife passed from the same thing just about one year ago.   Around here back at the time, very few engines were built up. Except for the racers. To get a high performance car, we bought Highway Patrol cars  that were being replaced, at auction. Or go to a salvage yard and buy a H.P.engine to put in our cars. Thats probably what I would have done , put in a salvage patrol car engine. (413  police pursuit) Headers were fairly new and expensive. I would use the exhaust manifolds from the engine.
   There will be several other goodies that was era correct for street and strip.  Anyone have ideas used in the day? NO not coon tails!.............................MO
