RE: Space saver spare fitment

Some of those compact spares look kinda cool.........  Not that anyone would ever see it under the cargo floor in my ’62 wagon....

Ya Eric.

To old to change a tire; rather watch some young fellar do it. (Hope I am politically correct)

Anyway ...it would just a rough day....hope there is a bar close by with cool AC, while I struggle thru it all !!

The last flat I had the car had to be towed, cost $5500 to fix the car, a spare tire would have done nothing.  I've not had a flat tire in many a year.  They build tires better than they used to.  I've picked up nails, but drove it and got it fixed, NP.  Besides, I'm not changing a tire when I pay for service to do that for me.  Not my job.

That’s how it should be done! Have road side assistance with my Grundy.

Keep real good tires. I never have had a flat on the road.... ????

Anyway not so bold. I got a space saver ford. Fits my 5 X 4.5 but.. no jack.

That remains me as I write this...I just installed disc brakes on the front...wonder if it will fit now?????

Keep having fun,

Ollie

Toss out the spare tire, Don't bother with the fix a flat compressor.  (my new Dart has that, the Charger has a spare)  just carry "Road side assistance" or AAA and have them deal with it.  Around here it's not a big deal.

I think it is not to reuse them on a daily basis, only use in an emergency. As long as they have thread and are not too old.....
