Re: New Engine Dyno Time - Worth it?

Bill, I found a little extra piece of mind by adding dyno time to my Poly Stroker build. It allowed for cam break-in, checking for any leaks vacuum or fluid, re-torqueing head bolts, adjusting valve lash, getting the most out of timing, checking break in oil & filter. Several different carbs were tested for fun as well as using the same TTI headers that would be used on the car. My engine builder wanted to see his guaranteed work perform. My dyno time was back in 2006 for $500, plus $24 fuel. RAM Racing Engines performed the dyno test at Terry Walters Racing.

Considering some engine dyno tuning time for my Poly Stroker project but the cost is pretty significant...$880 (an additional 12% added to the overall project cost). Is it worth it?
