they would offer a thermoplastic hose that uses swage ftgs e/e
NPT or if u need a swivel a female JIC and use a JIC male to NPT male adapter
any other info let me know ( I made my own this way)

Many times I have used the poly tubing, always with good results. I'm guessing you didn't have the compression nut tight enough. You stated some fittings were purchased at Lowes-didn't the gauge set contain everything needed for installation?

Specifically, I used the compression fittings with the brass collars. Delrin collars were also available. Last Saturday, while leaving to go to a cruise, the car spit the tubing out of the compression fitting and promptly pumped 3 quarts of oil everywhere! I don't want to experience this again!
