Yes there were different heads for the for the 4bbl engines.  They had the heavy duty valve springs installed on the 4bbl engines.

True, the castings were the same.  But they were different.

I did verify with my machinist, when I went thru my 273, that my valve spring pressure at full lift was 280, not the stock 170lbers.

Guys...there no such thing as "4 barrel " factory heads for a 273, no matter what year we're talking. The only difference is the bolt size and angle of the 64-65 heads.

Perhaps they meant the optional 318 V8 that was available in the Plymouth and Dodge M-bodies 1981 to 1989; it had a 4bbl mated to 360 heads. I recall these as popular in the 1980s Pick-a-Part type places to pull and use in earlier Mopars.
