Re: Replacing Tapered Axles with 65 up Flanged Axles

To the best of my knowledge, there is no economical way to do that.  Better to change over to a later houseing compltet with differential and axles. Bolts right in and not hard to find if you search a little......................MO

Subject: Replacing Tapered Axles with 65 up Flanged Axles

I would like to install new flanged axles in my 63 housing.

Has anyone removed the tapered axles from a 64 and older housing and replaced them with later style flanged axles?

Are the empty housings the same for tapered and flanged rear ends?
