If you need a longer throttle cable, Lokar makes universal throttle and transmission kick down cables.

 

 

Sounds like 2 more things I may need for the 1406 carb install onto the new Poly “Wind tunnel” manifold......

 

8007 is the stud kit.

1843 and 1481 are the same, just plated or black to match your carb.

I'm going to install an Edelbrock Thunder AVS  on my '63 Sport Fury 383 soon. I got all my stuff from Summit. Check out their website and look at Edelbrock part #'s 1481 ($9.97) , 1843 ($10.97) , and 8007 ($9.97). All are Mopar Throttle adapters. I bought em all just to have so I can finish things once I start.

I just installed the 1405 carb on my Fury and the accelerator linkage and return spring set-up seem to be wrong (short linkage).  It appears that I can drill the carb accelerator link setup to accommodate the Mopar pedal ball link, but things seem short to reach the 4bbl in a correct manner.

 

If it needs to be changed or "fixed", what has everyone done to make it work?  I am anxious to get this engine started and broken in ASAP.

 

Also, since the distributor has been out of the car, what is the easiest way to sync the distributor to the engine to get it close enough to get the car to start?
