Re: 1960 Dodge Dart Pioneer Wagon

Even if the car can't be saved the tailgate steering wheel and dashboard alone should be well worth the cost of rescue

I called the yard this morning, and the title has NOT gone to the state yet, so it's just possible that the car can be rescued.  The owner of the yard is out of pocket at the moment, but the office person who has the title is going to ask him to call me.  Now, what the heck will I do with it if he will sell it to me??  Anyone interested in helping rescue this could be classic??  HELP!!!

It's tragic that the Dart  ended up in that junkyard. At least some of the self-serve yards around here have a pre-staged area where they put complete cars to sell *before* the cars enter the junkyard itself. As was noted here, once the car enters the yard it is a death sentence, title wise.

Special thanks to Bob for taking and sending the photos.

OK, folks, here's a teaser!  I sent 'em all to Gary for his use.
