RE: engine weights



I believe there is a picture in my 318 poly group photo album which shows the poly and a 440 side by side with weights and measurements. I don't recall exactly but I think the 440 was about 70 lbs heavier. Maybe less. I used the 1" bars with Leroar and it's fine with me with the 318 poly.

Bill P. asked about engine weights. There are numerous charts online with approximate engine weights, Poly vs big block.

I know a few years ago member Ray Bell was looking into the exact Poly 318 weight. I don't recall his exact conclusion but seem to recall the Poly was in the same range as a Mopar big block.
