Mo  yes i have bench bled the master -with success and the larger reservoir is connected to the front lines

No. Smaller master cylinder bore = longer pedal travel but easier pedal. Larger master cylinder bore = shorter pedal travel but harder pedal. Fault in system = spongy pedal.
