Thanks for posting the question, I'm looking forward to reading the responses, I'm also considering a new compressor.

If you have the room it is nice to keep the old compressor tank piped into the air system, it will reduce cycling on the new one and give you a lot of air reserve.

I have looked at the compressors at Tractor Supply and also at this site:
