Re: Auto Trans Crossmember Conversoin

I used all poly mounts on the engine & trans, got tired of the "off-shore" junk I was trying to use. One engine mount broke (separated the rubber from the metal) before I even got it in the car. I may try to track down a high quality trans mount due to the vibration the poly transfers into the cabin, looking for suggestions. I'll get under the car in the next few days and see if I can get a clear shot of the converted cross-member in the car.

Hello Guys

I was wondering if there is any way to convert a 64 318 auto trans crossmember mout to accept a 4 speed.I saw something a few days back that it was done but I can't seem to find it again.I know someone here on this awesome site will know for sure.Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.Thank you for your time.Jeff

Thanks guys for all your suggestions.I am going to make my own mount with a spare I have.Travis, that is a great picture you sent me.Do you happen to have a picture of the top side of that crossmember and I am assuming you used the 4 speed rubber or poly mount to bolt to the trans.
