RE: Sound deadner and heat insulation

Looking at LizardSkin myself to coat the floor after I do the floor pan. A spray-on product is going to conform to every contour, and not smash flat like the foam core Low E house wrap will under foot. If you request more info on the LizardSkin site, they will send a couple samples. The two samples I have are about .050 and .080 thick.

Last summer I had all the removable rear cargo panels in my '62 wagon sandblasted. Then painted them and sprayed next with U-Pol Raptor 2-part urethane bed liner kit. Raptor sprayed easy with a body Shultz gun and turned out really nice. Does not build up as thick as Line-X or Rhino Liner, which I also considered. Since the tailgate panel fits in a recess and is removable with countersunk screws, too thick a coating would have interfered. And the piano hinges for the seat back and spare cover would have bound up with too thick a coating.

So Raptor might be something to consider too, especially if you were just to apply the sparse sound deadening panels same as factory afterwards. (Dynamat would work great for that).

Another spray on coating: http://coolcarceramic.com/

http://www.lobucrod.com/ is one vendor selling this as an automotive product. It has links to installation examples.

Thanks,
