Hi Nico,
I am living in western mid Michigan so it can get cool here. The most important consideration with long term storage is to time your oil changes so you have fresh oil in the motor just before parking your car. If not done to such a schedule any acids that may have formed due to combustion by-products will have 6 months to corrode whatever they will. Merry Christmas by the way!

I change my oil every three races with the circle track car, but that's mostly because I have the carbs running so fat the oil looks like diesel oil, very quicky!

All, been reading these threads with great enjoyment to the knowledge that is out there. Need to expand this thread to Oil change intervals. As I winter in Florida to work on my 65 Bel vert, it occurs to me that my other 62-65's sit for almost 6 months and am wondering should i change my oil when I move back north to Virginia. Currently have been using Rotella T-6 synthetic but from previous posts that may now be a no-no, so do I change syn oil every 6 months just because the motor sat for 6 months. members from the northern states may have a good insight to my question. Thanks in advance.
