Re: Super Stock Springs

I run the 3800# springs on my 12.0 Belvedere and ripple 9" slicks with 19 psi in them. Car weights 3750 or so with me in it. I have a fully adjustable snubber set about 1/2 inch off the floor

However, I will go to the 002/003 as suggested when and if traction becomes a problem.

I'm a little late to the conversation.  I installed the 3400# 456/457 springs on my 63 Sport Fury with the stock hangars and mounts.  I saw a reference somewhere that 3400 was my cars weight.  However my ride height with the new springs was @ 1" lower than it was with the old worn out stock springs with broken leafs.  The ride on the street/highway is fine but it will not  hook up at the local dragstrip running 255/15 street tires.  I've seen similar problems with other big block cars running street tires at this track. And have heard complaints from other racers.  So I no longer take it to the strip.
