Just be careful with the steel wool if you have the ceramic cote on them.  I wonder if the jacket material would not just chip off when cold?

I used a rag with a little carb cleaner on it to soak the area good first then take a small piece of fine steel wool and work the area lightly you may have to repeat the process.

During my dyno run last Sat, I managed to touch the cuff of my Carhardt jacket to the #1 pipe of my TTI coated headers, leaving a nasty black blob. What can I do to get it off?
