Welcome Jerry. There is a fancy Billet 90deg T-Stat housing TSH8R that is red and uses a 1.5" hose. It's pricey at about $90 from cvrproducts.com/thermostat .  I do believe there is an adjustable t-stat made by Mr Gasket too. I don't know what your orientation needs to be for the outlet but i have mine on the passenger side of the radiator. I purchased a housing #FSS-84805 from Summit for $17. It appears to be what I need for the new windtunnel manifold but I don't know for sure till I get the manifold.

Hey guys-I want to introduce y’all to Jerry… He’s from Houston, got a 66 Fury III convert from his aunt, and he’s ordered all the coolest Poly parts he can from us… but he needs more Poly friends as he feels all alone so I’m bringing him to this group as you ALWAYS seem to make everybody feel right at home here!

I have to find a thermostat housing. Hard to believe that my engine is going to look like that. That wasn’t’ my intention when I first this car. My engine bay doesn’t look good enough for it.

I best get after it if I want to have my car running by the end of April, My B-Day!
