About 2.25” tall element.  Wanted to run the Mopar air cleaner in chrome, but I don’t see that happening with an electric choke.  Maybe with a Corvette/Camaro deeper drop-base, but then you might end up with a spacer and right back where you were.

Ricky,

Exactly what air cleaner is that? And how high is the element? The base looks alot wider where it bellies out than the drop one I have. My current one won't clear my Edelbrock linkage, etc without a spacer between the base and the carb throat.

I'll be using a QuickFuel 750 (Holley) carb by the way.

Before yarding the engine out - double checked hood clearance using clay before and after.  Have the same 1 ¼” clearance in front and more in back and center, since the original 2 bbl air cleaner actually tilts forward.

This is with an Edelbrock 1406 and Mr Gasket 4339 air cleaner.  I am sure there are other combo’s that will work, thicker air cleaners with more drop over a manual choke carb etc.
