Re: What I'm up to

Why couldn;t you use them without, hooking up the heating tubes and special exhaust manifolds?  It would have to be a warm weather car . I bet one of us old afro engineers  could set up an  electric heating system ..Maybe some winter time electric heating tape for water pipes....Yeah, That's it!  Wrap it around the ram tubes  8-)   .........................MO

You're right MO, a nice complete set of long rams complete with center dump exhaust. For me I'm partial to the '64 short rams with cast iron exhaust. I asked the owner if he'd throw them in for free. He said sure for an extra 3K.{#emotions_dlg.wink}

Seems to be fairly common to find long rams, But where are the throttle linkages and all the other parts to install them?..................................MO

Yes and 1 set of short rams wich of course are the same overall length but the individual runners are only divided half way. Kinda neat but they want stupid money for them.  I guess that's why you never see anyone actually buying them. This set was 700. Still pricy but manageable.

I think I counted 3 sets for sale at the Indy Cylinder Head Show last weekend -- 2 with carbs if memory serves.

Here's some logic - Since the Milodon 30750 replacement oil pan I bought fits '60-'72 except truck - the '65 Polara oil pick-up tube should certainly work......

1965 Polara is a C-Body, probably a big block. To eliminate search results that include Dodge trucks, instead search for a 1962 Plymouth oil pump pickup tube & screen and see what results.

Thanks,
Gary H.
