The connectors for the rubber tubing can break easy.  

Case in point is the nipples on the heater control (and the A/C controls if you have that).  There is a guy in TX  who retrofits these with metal connectors - they work great and are not overpriced. Look in the 62-65 tech section.

Speaking of dash work.  How difficult is it to restore under the dash on one of these B Bodies?  Looking under there last night - sure are a lot of 50+ year old vacuum lines etc.  Was looking at what brass fittings I need to hook up the Poly manifold.  Looks like the vacuum fitting will screw right in - but man the black plastic or rubber vacuum line attached to it - and running thru the dash is hard as rocks.....
