If it's a full ring, you need to take off the emblem. Push down on the emblem and rotate (CCW, I think), Then unscrew the the screws holding it in place (that will be obvious when you get the button off)

If it's the 3/4 ring, push down and rotate the horn ring (again, CCW, I think)

Subject: 65 Satellite horn ring removal

I need help. I had a new 65 Satellite and never had any trouble removing the
horn ring from the wheel. I now have a 65 Satellite and have removed the
horn ring at least twice with no problems but not now. I have always pushed
down on the horn ring and turned it counter clockwise and off it came but it
won't come off now. I'm at wits end. I know what it looks like. When I push
down, I can get a slight movement to the right and left, but it won't budge.
It seems like it's stuck. Can anyone please help? Thanks.
