Re: Power steering and gas gauge

The gas gauge sending unit test procedures are posted on the Tech page,
http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/techstuff.html
They are about 20% down from the top of the page.

Also, toward the top of that page are these links:
Diagnosing And Repairing Faulty Instrument Gauges and How To Repair and Diagnose Instrument Gauges
Get Engauged: So you think your oil pressure does not fluctuate? guide to Mopar gauge repair.
Gauge Rage Mopar gauge repair.

I don't recall a discussion about A-body converting A-body manual steering to power steering. I assume it is similar to B body where you change the steering box to PS and swap out the steering column for a PS version and match up the appropriate pump, pulleys and brackets.

http://www.flamingriver.com/index.php/products/c0008/s0009/FR1505P sells a coupler to fit the power steering box, a connecting shaft and a column universal joint. Others sell similar.

But for an A-body you can also consider using a manual box with more feel and quicker response than stock, like from Steer & Gear. Then you would not have to go through all the rest of that work.

Thanks,
Gary H.
