Bill all I have to say is thank you , ive got a donor 65 727 and poly I pulled to go into my 58 and the 65 was a column shift , as where my 58 is a old cast iron push button , you are shedding light on where I'm going to be soon and I am watching and learning from your venture , and I'm sure my wife and son are thankful as well ,because my temper will not be as bad as I can see the pitfalls of where you been on this , vic

So in looking at the transmission I had we built to go into my Coronet, another difference that I picked up is in the case where the shift cable goes into the body of the transmission. The flange for my cable shift setup seems to overlap and hang off the body of this new transmission wear my old one had a full face for the flange to seat against. I have already changed the cable adapter, and rooster comb inside, but now I'm wondering if the cases are interchangeable and if I'm going to have a problem. My luck, the answer will be yes. I'm not home right now, but can take a picture of the difference I'm talking about later today. Anyone have any thoughts?
