RE: > 500 HP

I'm relatively new to the Poly game but as in most of my endeavors, I go 'all in' when I go... Pavlovich has done much more for the Poly than can be celebrated for many, many years and if there was one in TX, he would know... My considered opinion is that the TX statement was mistaken for Gary P in CA and since this current 'record holder' is out of Gary P's stable, I'm inclined to trust the 'first documented 500hp' handle...
All that to say that the record of 507 will be broken in the not too distant future and 500-650hp Polys will be more common than 528 Hemis for less than half the cost...
On the manifold and valve cover front... While there are another batch of manifolds and valve covers cast, going thru the heat treat, wheelabrator and finally the machining and shipping processes, we've recognized that our foundry is what is known as a 'boutique' operation-high performance/low production... While Javier holds an MBA from CalState, he's not a great businessman-he is first and foremost a genius in design having done apprenticeships with Keith Black, Mondello and Arias and designing some of the most incredible V8 powerplants in racing and on the street today... Last October we parked our RV at his plant and saw trucks from Shelby, Enderle, Arias, SCTA and on&on pick up product while we were working the Poly project... We are no further down his production list than anyone else and I've agonized at great length in this process for better communications and delivery... To those who are waiting for their parts-there's no one more anxious than me... As I offered one of the very annoyed original 85 orders a refund the other day, I also soothed the ruffled feathers by telling him it WILL be worth the wait as those who have already gotten theirs will attest...
Thanks for letting me serve...

I don't know exactly what Texas engine you are referring to. Maybe Roland knows.
The information I have is this is the first Poly to be *documented* by a dyno to make over 500 H.P. --
"507 HP at 6000 rpm / 459 ft. lbs. torque at 4500 RPM" is what is on the photo.

The torque number is probably more relevant anyway, in my view. Very "seat f the pants" power! :)

Thanks,
Gary H.
