Re: Big wheels on old Mopars

yup.  Your money, your car, do it your way !!!   That's a great lookin '59.  My first ride when I was 16 was my Dad's 59.  It was pink and white with a 326 and dual (loud) exhaust.  Damn that thing would go !!  Bought my first 63 Plymouth about 2 months  later, but I always loved that 59.  My friends called it the pink and white missile !

Now I don't like the 22s and larger on older MoPar's like the wagon but the Newport really is not that bad, even though I would not go that big.  I would say 20s are the top end for me depending on the car.  I have had nothing but compliments on my 59 Dodge with 20s on it.  That said I am positive there are just as many people that don't like them.  The way I look at it is, your paying the bills on your car, and what ever brings joy to your heart, so be it!  The other good thing about the big rims on other peoples MoPar's is they narrow the competition at most shows!

Well, what do you think?  Like the wheels?  I wonder if this is what the owners had envisioned when they were shopping for wheels (especially the red drums)?  Bob from Maine
