Yep the number should be right where his thumb is pointing in the top picture. I agree it looks like a GM application to me, the choke looks like GM too.

Gary.... theres a number on the front left mounting ear, similar to "4429s". That is the model/ application number. Get us that number and we be able to ID the carb for you. Off hand, I would say it is not Mopar as the throttle lever looks wrong and the fuel inlet is on the wrong side for a Mopar.

Hi all,

A fellow I know is looking to ID a 4BBL carb.  He thinks it is a Mopar application.

The numbers he can find cast in the carb are 1779 (on top plate) O-1535 (think this is the number.....on side of body)

There also is a rebuilder''s sticker with some numbers stamped on it you can see in the top picture.
