Actually I think you may be right. We had one and I don't remember the exhaust scenario but it was a single exhaust on a 383 2 bbl engine in a 63 wagon. It could get overpowering back there and we didn't have the roof deflector either.

Hi, I am getting ready to order a TTI exhaust system for my '64 Plymouth wagon.  According to TTI, the station wagons have a side exit exhaust at the rear, while non wagons have the turn down exhaust that exits at rear bumper.  I don't like the look of the side exit, so my question is will the turn down exhaust fit or is the wagon spare tire well the reason why only side exit works?
