Re: Ignition switch replacement

I've had luck using a snap ring pliers.  Just need to be careful to keep them from slipping and scratching things.  I had a broken male connector on the back of my ignition switch that gave me intermittant contact so it would start sometimes and sometimes not.

Any tricks to replacing the ignition switch?  Special tool for the bezel?  Any brand better than another?

I see they have lock cylinders too, but thinking just replace the switch so I can keep my keys.

Went to start it the other day after work to go home, and nothing.  Jumped the starter and it has started with the key ever since.  Thinking either it could be the neutral safety switch – or the ignition switch – or just replace them anyway because they do wear out.  I already have a headlight switch and dimmer switch on the shelf, for future replacements.

Thanks,
