Friday puzzlers 6-26-2015

Happy Friday all,

Below are links to ads in which I found at least one thing puzzlingly interesting, ironic or funny in the description or the photos. See the note in brackets quoting the ad or {my comments}. Plus a few leads are included.

Gary H.

1962 chrysler Newport - $8000
"Everyone falls in love with the grille those chrome bullets covering the grille also made their way on to the steering wheel and hub caps..."

RARE 1962 Chrysler New Yorker 9 Passenger Wagon - $5000
["Runs and drives but needs brakes bled and restoration."]

1962 Chrysler 300! No issues! Solid Ride! Come drive it!!! - $2900
["I bought the car as an extra project for my wife and now have embarked on building a new house."]

1962 Chrysler Imperial Crown - $5995
["I acquired this car about 12 months ago from an ebay seller that had *grossly* misrepresented the car's body and interior condition. In retrospect all the pictures were shot from a distance and were cropped about mid to lower door panel area. Same with interior pictures, very misleading. He further professed "he was driving car around town, everybody looking, blah blah blah", but in fact it would barely move in reverse and nothing in forward...sigh! The power steering hoses were spurting their life-blood, car wouldn't stay running long enough to move whatsoever. This was my education into buying 'project' cars without asking many more questions and requesting detailed pics."]
{This s quite a nice starting point for someone who is good at bodywork.}

Classic Car- 1962 Chrysler 300 - $2500
["Just Needs TLC"] {ALL CAPS = yelling}

For Sale 1962 Chyrsler 300 - $2750
["Was told motor had been gone thru as well as transmission but have no proof"]

1962 Plymouth (B-Body) Savoy Sedan - $6500
["2 Door obsessives need not call, these are 4doors in a very rare year that makes the 4door point irrelevant. The quarter panels alone sell for 900-1200 each. The picture is of an identical model in Blue."]

1962 Dodge - $9500
["with an original Mopar floor mat, have been told this floor mat is worth hundreds of dollars alone."]

Plymouth Fury Convertible - $4500
{no photos}

1962 Plymouth Valiant for parts
{ALL CAPS = yelling}

1962 Dodge Plymouth Stainless Fender Skirts

That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
