Check your battery connections first...they could be loose or corroded.

That one bit be after my rebuild. Would not start, only got a "click" and I kept saying to my self..."the battery connections couldn't be bad. It started fine with the old motor.

After that it could be the starter relay. Age doesn't seem to play into things anymore with all the Chinese junk on the market.

Turned the 1962's key and the starter spun and engine started, then stalled. Tried to restart and got "click" when the key is turned to the start position. With key set to on, used the screwdriver trick on the starter relay and the engine started right up. The starter relay is new about a year ago.

Corroded connection? Bad ignition switch? Any thoughts on what to test next?
