I see no point in it at all..

First, you lose originality for no purpose at all.

Second, you spend money with no improvement at all

Third, you have (as mentioned before) got the hard part done, you can get these axles out any time you like without undoing the taper

Fourth, you are underestimating the worth of the tapered axles, they are every bit as strong and trouble-free as you could wish for

Fifth, I would almost guarantee that if you go with aftermarket axles you will get talked into green bearings to save anyone having to fit an adjuster

Sixth, there's a good prospect that with green bearings you will regret ever having fitted them if you do a few road miles in the car

Seventh, when you realise this and then go chasing roller bearings and adjusters it will be another drama for you


In other words, you've got as good as you can get, just leave it be!
