Thanks for that, Eric, that tells me a couple of things...

First, that the A903 was used in both 1960 and 1961, while the A745 wasn't introduced until 1961.

Second, it tells me what I suspected, that the Chryslers of 1962 as well as the '62 Dodge 880 (which was a hastily introduced Chrysler rebadged) had the parking brake on the transmission and not in the rear wheels.

What I don't understand there is that the input shaft is different. If it was a matter of ratios, it would be the input shaft and the cluster, and possibly second gear, but it's just the input shaft. This points to a physical difference, like the length of the input shaft.

Does anyone know the answers to these questions?

Do the Chryslers of 1961 and 1962, the 880 and the '61 Dodges and Plymouths with V8 engines have a different length input shaft to the Slant 6-powered '61 cars? If so, what is the difference?

And does anyone know the ratios of the early A903s and A745s?
