8¾ axle bearings - not green - what are the options?

I'm  in a position where I expect to have to put several axles together with new bearings. I'm not convinced of the logic of using green bearings, I want to go with the original type.

It seems that there are kits on offer which make them a little less expensive than buying cups and cones separately. I don't know if this is universally so, but I'd like to know this too.

Which suppliers are the best to deal with on these? And what about lock rings?

Please don't make this a conversation about green bearings, the only bearings to discuss here are the original-style tapered roller bearings.
