Does "Rich Horner" typically put himself in harms way?  If Rich should pop up in front of me what would be a good distance between the fan and radiator?  I'm using a 1" spacer, so would I be better off losing that and giving myself 1 5/8" clearance?

Still chasing cooler running temps.  Everything tells me my problem is air flow.  I'm running a 4 blade fan which I'd like to replace with a 7 blade or a clutch-fan.  Before I make a trip to the U-Pull-It yard can anyone tell me what will fit as far as bolt pattern?  I've got a fairly tight space with only 3 1/8" between the face of the water pump pulley and the radiator and 5/8" between the fan and the radiator.  I am running a 1" spacer which can be eliminated with the use of a clutch-fan.  This is all on a stock 440 w/ C.I. water pump.

Thanks, Paul L.
