Re: Fw: Power Steering pump for a '64 Sport Fury 383

The level of complexity depends on where the leak is. A leak between the
pump and reservoir or at the back of the reservoir where the bracket
attaches is pretty straightforward to re-seal. If it's leaking at the pump
shaft, the seal replacement is a little more involved.

I attempted a complete rebuild once upon a time, followed the directions,
and finally got the thing to go back together (don't pull the pump
rotor/slippers out if you can avoid it), but I messed something up because
the pump wouldn't make pressure. I ordered a reman pump and that was that.

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
