Re: Fw: Power Steering pump for a '64 Sport Fury 383

The Federal (and TRW) pumps have the round reservoir on the back of the
pump with a ~2" diameter filler neck and cap. I think the TRW pump was
only used on C-bodies. Your car probably had a Federal pump originally.

The Saginaw pump, which I understand to be OEM on later Mopars, has an
oblong reservoir on the back which kind of looks like a pancake syrup
bottle sticking up behind the pump.

I'm willing to bet there are a number of old Mopar tech articles floating
around on the internet with photos to show you which is which.

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
