Re: 62-65 VIN

there is a number near the rear window and on the radiator support, that should match the SO or shipping order # on the fender tag.

Isn't there one under the trunk weatherstripping near the window? Seems like it was supposed to be toward the passenger's side of center. Not going to swear to this, however.

Does anyone else have a second VIN on their 62/65? If so, where?

It's also on the area around the radiator on my 1962 Newport, I forget where.  And some where in the back of the car near the rear axel so I'm told.  It's stamped into the metal.

>> Hi - I understand that the VIN on newer cars with 17 digit VINs can be used to identify parts numbers, especially if there have been mid-model year part changes.  My question is whether the sequence portion of the 62-65 Mopar VINs can be used for similar information, say a mid-model year change in a transmission part? Would a repair shop have any need to investigate the VIN in ordering parts for a 62-65 Mopar? Thanks
