Re: drivershaft loop

bob,

i agree with mike l.  if your pinion angle is correct there will be up/down movement of the driveshaft, and if your driveshaft is moving sideways you have bigger issues.  i used the lakewood 18000 universal loop on my '64 fury and works fine.  on the sides, i have ~3/8" clearance between the driveshaft and loop.
here are some pics of a loop that i scammed from mosher's website.  note: make sure that you sandwich your floor between two thicker pieces of metal.  otherwise if your font u-joint lets go you will not tear your floor up.

mike

I have a 64 Savoy. I bought a driveshaft loop and it seems like it is to close to the driveshaft, I can just squeeze my finger between them.Does that sound like it is to close? What brand can you use with more room around it?
