Re: What is the largest Rim and Trim size you can run on a Stock 62 Plymouth

Thanks for all the data and feedback on the tire size.
Looks like I will run 5 1/2 wide rims with 195R14 tires

Does anybody have any leads on finding a pair of 5 1/2 wide A Body rims from a Disc Brake car to run on the front with my disc brakes with a 10.95 Dia Disc

Mark,

There is not much of a selection for 14" tires. I'm sure you want radial tires but when you say the largest tire, did you mean largest width or height. My BFG Radial TA catalog shows for now the widest tire is the 245/60R-14 that has a section width of 9.8" and a diameter of 25.6". The tallest tire is the 225/70R14 with a SW of 9.0" and a dia. of 26.5. I've always considered the taller tire as the largest, the fewer revolutions per mile is the largest. Your '62 is running the narrowest B-body rear @ 58 1/2" drum to drum. A 7" wheel with 4 1/4" back space should work fine. But measure what you have, clearance to the springs on the inside and to the fender on the outside and go from there with these tire sizes.
