There is nothing wrong with my 361 or my 727.   I just have this car now and I thought it would be fun to stick a modern engine in the classic car since I have it I might as well use it it gets 25 in the city and 32 miles per gallon freeway in a much lighter  it should get better gas mileage should also haul ass besides I have nothing else to do and when this car is done it's going to be my daily driver to get something that is modern and will have no issues with the fuel is a big plus for me if I could figure a way  to cut the front end off the 300 then I would do the modern suspension and I'm sure I can get the rear end I don't think it would be that much but basically turning a 2014 300 into a 1962 Newport would be fun I think .   Of course we can always do it the hard way and cut my Newport up and welded to the 300 so that it looks like the 300 on the outside but on the inside it's the new car .  I already marked up the front clip from my Newport it's a perfect fit for Car but I have to change a four-door 300 to a 2 door Newport but I get all the benefits of electric steering ABS brakes  airbags pretension seatblets and all the rest of the safety stuff it would just be a lot longer has 300s are a lot shorter but they are the same width the same wheelbase except half an inch shorter wheelbase maybe that'll be easier.  Doing the cabin would be hard, but the front and rear end not too bad.  So many ideas, not sure how to proceed.

Why not He is building the car to suit himself.   WIth all the upgrades it would be a dream to dream to drive.  Gody would still be the  same.

Hi guys an gals, I've been away for a while, dealing with life.  BUT I've got some thinking I need help with.

I got my hands on a 2014 Chrysler 300S, the whole car.  It's a total loss...well the body is, but it's only got 12k on the drive train and I am going to put in in my Newport.  It's the 3.6L Pentastar and the 8 speed Auto.  I know I will have to keep the computers, gas pedal, brake pedal electronics, shifter and instrument cluster for the drive train to be happy....well mostly happy.

I wondering about the fit in the body.  I know the 8 speed is shaped like a 55 gallon drum, but the motor is much smaller than my 361.  I know the sub frame is nearly the same dimensions but I'm sure the transmission tunnel will be an issue.

Can anybody direct me to somebody that has done the 3.6 swap to a "C" body?  I'd love to put it in my car, but not sure if I can.   I've read the troubles somebody is having putting one in a 72 "A" body car, I'm hoping it will be less problems for the bigger car.

Thoughts?  Ideas?
