Re: Let's Hope NAPA Stays Around

True, NAPA is usually great, though not all NAPAs are equal. Typically, it depends on the people behind the counter.

Speaking of people, there were even a few O'Reilly stores near me that had a manager working there that, many years
ago, O'Reilly built the store around, and still had paper reference books in the backroom. I think they have since
retired. There are also a few old-time independent auto stores left in this town, also with all the paper parts reference
books and old timers who know how to flip pages as well as press on keyboards. These are a rare breed nowadays
though.

It's even true at Mopar dealerships. There is a parts guy in a Dodge dealership I know who is about 75 and still works
over 30 hours a week. He's been in the Mopar parts department for many decades and he seems to know more about
Mopar parts than the dealer's computer system.

Thanks,
Gary H.

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
