Re: Electric fuel pump

Ditto. I ran mine with only an on-off switch but updated to the 5# safety switch with an over ride for starting.

Hello,

I would strongly suggest that you install and wire an oil pressure safety switch with a relay for your fuel pump.  The switches come with wiring diagrams and a google search will get you more information.  The best switch is the small diameter one that is easier to install.  If you purchase one check the setting of the switch some are 5# and others are 15#, your choice. On the big blocks there is a plug next to the existing oil pressure sender that can be used.  I install a SPDT center off toggle switch in the circuit that allows me to force the pump on to prime the carburetor, turn it completely off or have in in Auto running off of the oil pressure safety switch.

Hi

What would be a good place for mounting an electric fuel pump (carter pn 152-875)
On a 1964 Polara,
I read that anywhere between the tank and carb should be okay??
And do I need a relay

Thanks
