Re: April 2017 Mopar of the month

Thanks Mike, Yes , I intend to check the pinion angle and thanks for those specs. Question tho, how do I  get the snubber against the floor at 0 degrees with it being so far from the floor?  adjustable  snubber?  And how do I hold the rear of the car down against the snubber to measure that 0 degree? ..................................Steve...............MO

glad you have the leaks fixed,
i like the stance of your car now.  while you're working on the rear suspension, make sure your pinion angel is at 4 degree down at rest and your pinion snubber hits the floor at zero degrees (drive shaft straight) that will reduce any spring wrap.  there are shims to help you get the right angle.  measuring from the sill your car should have a 2-3 degree nose down attitude.  that will help you get the best traction from leaf springs.

A little up-date on my 64 Dodge B body nostalgia street and strip.
Done this Spring.:  Certified mechanic installed the Hughes Engines rear main seal kit.  I told him to do exactly as instructions say.  He insisted his method always works ( non Mopar). Result--leak and a do-over on his dime.  repair steering sector leaks, fix gas leak at the new 3/8 " fuel sender. Had new heavy duty rear springs made and a  friend & I installed them. Raised the rear 2-3" ,IMO looks much better and rides  good. . Just last night I ordered new Nitto drag radials 275/60/R15  $289 for the pair , no tax, and free shipping Jegs.  I expect I better get a driveshaft loop now !!  Attached before and after springs. ....................................MO
