those kits are not to pricy if the joints are loose just replace them all, new sleeves also, put them together as the old ones are.

I counted the number of turns it took to get the old one out and also took a measurement between the inner and outer tie rid ends.  Reading the replies it makes sense.  Just have to figure out what I need to order.  I guess I'll have to order them one at a time as I won't know what I need on the left side until I take it apart.

Question about tie rod ends:  I've taken the right side suspension apart on my 63 and noticed that the threads on the outer tie rod end are left hand thread.  I'll be taking the left side apart after I get the right side back together.  Are the threads on the left side right hand?  Rock Auto lists 2 tie rod end part #'s one ending in "R" and one ending in "L".  No explanation as to whether that indicates thread direction or side of car. Can anyone clarify this?
