Clutch disc experience

Hi All,

Looking for any opinions on the McCleod Organic/ Ceramic clutch discs. I currently have the 11” version of this in my car. Running an 833 4 Speed with a 426 MW. Approx power in the 500hp/ 500t range.
Ive had great luck with the package and the only surprise is after about 3000-4000 miles the disc is wore out. This set up has not seen hard use at all. I had a slight screech and hard shifting into first (was suspecting a bad pilot bushing) coming on anyways so got home from Carlisle and tore it down.
The organic side of the disc is just starting to show the edge of the heads of the rivets. yikes.
Good timing I thought.
Pressure plate and flywheel look fine.

Is this normal life span of this type of disc? Should I be looking at something else? The drivability of this setup has always been great. No chatter or slippage of any sort.

Any thoughts or experiences to share would be great.

thanks!

Derrick
