RE: HOOD SEALS NOT FITTING

No reply yet from Metro or Kramer.  Steele sent me a sketch of their wide and narrow seal hole patterns – both way off from the nice symmetrical holes in my ’62 hood.  I made a sketch of the hole pattern.

Ricky,

Look at the listing again, the hood to cowl seal is listed 62-65, the hood to radiator is listed as 64-65. The difference is on the 62 the seal attaches to the hood. 63-65 it attaches to the radiator support. I don't think the 63 is much different.

Thanks – I have contacted them – Interesting their application says ’64-65 only for the hood to cowl seal.

Any ’62 owners – Would you please post a pic of the seal attached to the front of your hood?..........

I picked up the cowl to hood seal from Kramer, fit perfect with a good price. I think I also purchased my Radiator to Hood seal from them, for '63 it attaches to the support not the hood. Give them a call, Jim and his family have great customer service.

Spent Sunday fitting carpet – more of a chore than U would think – with all the excess to trim.  The soldering iron method someone here gave is the hot set-up literally – slick way to make holes for seatbelts, brackets, rocker trim etc.  Put in new door seals and pedal pads afterwards – the wind-lace bulb-seal combo is pretty efficient – that install was a breeze.

Having problems with fitment of hood seals though.  Hood to cowl, clips not spaced accurately – causing strip to lay all wonkey.  Hood to radiator, doesn’t fit at all and I don’t have the original to compare.

The Metro door seals, windshield seal, pedal pads, etc did fit fine........
