Total 1965 production in the U.S. for the Sport Fury hardtop (AP2-P-23) came to 37,745 units.  1965 was a great year for the full-size Plymouth Fury.

Engines available with were, 318, 2-bbl 383, 4-bbl 383, and 4-bbl 426. 

Galen Govier gives a breakdown for 1965 Sport Fury hardtop engines and lists the 426-4 at 1,232 with 83 built with Torqueflte.

The 426 Commando V8 offered in the 1965 Fury models was a wedge-head engine, 4-bbl carb, 10.3:1 CR, 365 bhp at 4800 rpm and torque at 470 at 3200 rpm..  On the body tag "80" should be under the "AB", which it is on this car.  No hemi 426 available on a C-body Fury 

Canadian production of 1965 Sport Fury models is unknown as they were classified as AP2-H-23, same as the Fury III.   Thus the Sport Fury numbers were mixed in with the Fury III.  They did the same in 1964.  And you could get a Sport Fury hardtop or convertible with a slant six engine.
